11th ACM Workshop on Information Hiding and Multimedia Security, ACM IH&MMSEC 2023, Chicago, Illinois, June 28-30

UNCOVER partners attended the 11th ACM Workshop on Information Hiding and Multimedia Security – ACM IH&MMSec 2023, held in Chicago, Illinois, June 28-30, 2023.

The ACM IH&MMSEC 2023 is one of the main events in the area of multimedia security and attracts researchers from all over the world.

The workshop focuses on information-hiding topics such as steganography, steganalysis, digital watermarking, anonymity, hard-to-intercept communications, and covert channels. It also covers a variety of multimedia security topics, including multimedia authentication, multimedia forensics, biometrics, and privacy.

The research presented in this workshop captures state-of-the-art work conducted in academic, industrial, and government institutions around the world. The articles cover significant theoretical aspects of the field, as well as new industrial and commercial applications of techniques and algorithms developed in the area.

UNCOVER partners at IH&MMSec

Nora Hofer from the University of Innsbruck (UIBK) presented the paper “Progressive JPEGs in the Wild: Implications for Information Hiding and Forensics”, written by Nora Hofer and Rainer Böhme. The paper received the award for “Best Student Paper”.

Etienne Levecque from the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) presented the paper “Compatibility and Timing Attacks for JPEG Steganalysis”, written by Etienne Levecque, Patrick Bas, and Jan Butora.
