UNCOVER at the ULTRA Project Event

UNCOVER at the ULTRA Project Event

UNCOVER was invited to participate at an event, organised by the European funded ISF project ULTRA which aims to “enhance the operational forensic capacity of both law enforcement and judicial authorities to investigate cyber-enabled crime”. The project is executed by law enforcement agencies (LEAs) from Belgium, Sweden, the Netherlands, and Romania with the support of Europol, ECTEG and EACTDA.

In the context of the ULTRA project, an expert meeting was organized in Brussels on 11-12 December during which UNCOVER presented their findings to the audience. A technical (developer, researcher) audience of about 25 people from LEA’s, forensic institutes and Europol were present, including representatives from the UNCOVER consortium : SPA, NBI and NPN. Helena Bruyninckx, as Project Coordinator of UNCOVER shared the UNCOVER’s expertise, raised awareness about the concept of steganography/steganalysis and elaborated on case studies, trends and research activities. Fruitful discussions and suggestions from the participants will be taken up by the UNCOVER consortium.
